About this Item
MACKINNON, Albert G. THE ROME OF SAINT PAUL. London: The Religious Tract Society, [1930]. Tall 8vo., blue cloth, gilt titles on front cover & spine; 232 pages. First Edition. A look at Rome as it would have appeared during the time of St. Paul. With 12 photographs by Prof. G. Gatteschi, published with his permission. Signed presentation from MacKinnon on the front endpaper, to another photographer, on the front endpaper: "To Mr. Louis B. Audigier from the Author as a remembrance of much kindness and valued help received in the illustration of his books. A. G. MacKinnon. Roma May 22nd, 1932." Audigier was a photographer and MacKinnon uses his images in some of his other books. A nice association copy! Very Good (minor wear & gilt on front cover & spine quite bright; contents clean & tight with a few very small library stamps on preliminary and end pages; little paper residue from something once tipped-in at the top of the front endpaper). A nice, bright copy of an uncommon book. $150.00. Seller Inventory # 1575
