The author has signed this volume on the title page and inscribed the book on the front free end paper. It appears this book became damp at some point and the blue of the end papers had bled onto the flaps, the half-title, some of the margins of the last four pages and end papers, and slightly onto the title page. The red cloth boards also shows some discoloration. However, the gilt on the front cover, as well as, on the black cloth spine cover are bright. The dust wrapper show some paper loss at the top of the fold of the front panel to front flap, the spine ends, at the tips of the fold from the back panel to the rear flap. There is also some loss to the illustration on the front cover, although, lower layers of the paper remain present. In addition to the black and white illustrations by Robert Pious, there are some headlines and articles of newspapers at the back of the book. Seller Inventory # Home92
