About this Item
Book of mythology, principally Irish with Welsh mythology also. Thomas Rolleston was an Irish writer. He was involved in promoting traditional Irish industries, The Gaelic League and Irish Literary Society. He was also involved with the India Society and promoting Indian art. This copy is a first edition in the decorative Celtic knot design front board and spine cloth. This copy has a presentation inscription to a family member, 'Sidney Rolleston with the regards of the author, Dec. 1911'. Headcap repaired. Spine sunned and rubbed. Soiling to rear board and lightly to front board. Inside, new end papers at front and rear. Inscription on tanned blank end paper. Spotting, mostly light initially and periodically throughout the text. See photos. Seller Inventory # 003623
