Soft cover, with card wraps. Signed inscribed by the author. A very rare first edition of an important Australian play. The cover has some fading from shelf wear, otherwise in excellent condition. An early explicitly feminist play, set in the 1930s in the staff room of an all-girls school. Morning Sacrifice, Cusack's second play, won the Theatre Council of WA Drama Festival's Prize in 1942, and was performed by Little Theatre movement in the 1940s and 1950s. The first professional performance of Morning Sacrifice was in 1986 by Griffin Theatre Company at the Stables in Sydney. Seller Inventory # ABE-1691383357979
