Signed by Joseph Mitchell on the front endpaper to the former owner in blue ink, inscribed, "For V.H. / Kindest regards / and best wishes / Joseph Mitchell / December 1969." 253 pp. Dark green cloth with gilt lettering. Very Good. No jacket. A few pages edges irregularly cut, with some occasional creasing. Gilt a bit rubbed. The author's best-known work, quite uncommon signed. Inscribed during Mitchell's long period of writer's block when he wrote nothing for The New Yorker. Seller Inventory # 151103004
