1st printing. Binding tight; spine slightly cocked; pages clean; price-clipped DJ shows some wear to edges and corners; spine lightly sunned with a couple of small scrapes. Inscribed by Zellerbach on front endpaper to "Norman-baby" with "lots of love & passionate kisses." After this book, Zellerbach wrote a column for the San Francisco Chronicle for a quarter century -- and then resumed her fiction-writing career, publishing another thirteen novels.
