His life objective was to be a cowboy and a hunter until his dad announced that his two sons would be the first in nine generations in the Beal family in America to get a college education. Carl graduated from Stanford in 1913 with an A.B Degree in Geology and an M.A Degree in 1915. His first job was with the Bureau of Mines in Washington D.C., being assigned to the five Indian tribes in Oklahoma to observe and report on the huge oil discoveries being reported from that area. By 1923 Carl was acclaimed as a world renowned geologist and oil finder. During the ensuing years Carl's attention gradually turned to ranching, polo, and big game he had enjoyed as a boy. He became good friends and played polo with, Walt Disney and Will Rogers. Here are the handwritten diaries enclosed transcribed from his office date books from 1923 to 1939 inclusive, as typed by his secretary. Many entries were in his own hand-writing covering his business and sporting activities. Seller Inventory # 49405
