First edition, limited to 750 numbered copies, of whicht his is one of 250 copies reserved for the Hunt Botanical Library. This copy is signed by Hermann Zapf and Jack Stauffscher on the half-title page. Lacks dust jacket, else a fine copy. The text of the edition was handset in Hunt Roman, with Spectrum Monotype, printed by Davis & Warde, Inc., Pittsburgh, under the supervision of Thomas C. Pears III. the typographic design is by Jack Werner Stauffacher. Printed on Strathmore rag paper. Photographs supplied through Hermann Zapf and D.
