1st edition. Small 4to. 18pp. Numerous illustrations & bw/tinted photos. Original white publisher's soft card covers, colour illustration of Thomas Guy discussing plans for his hospital with two other men +lady servant looking on + colour cartouche on front, black lettering. Flap from front cover holds letter from Lord Nuffield, possibly signed in blue ink ( but this may be a facsimile ). Also tipped in donation appeal form + covenant form. Cover edges slightly rubbed where they overlap pages & slightly foxed in part, light 8cm ink line on rear + 2 x 3 cm foxing mark. Contents clean & tight. ***. VG. Seller Inventory # 3737
