Inscription is to Barton Wright, the former curator of the Museum of Northern Arizona in Flagstaff. Tan wrappers with black lettering on cover and spine. Small tears to head of spine; light toning and wear to spine; minor creasing; mild soiling with small pen mark on cover. Tight binding and clean interior. Includes a frontispiece, 34 plates, 80 figures, and 17 tables. Hawikuh is an ancient Zuni village located in modern-day New Mexico that was the first pueblo conquered by Spanish explorers. It was abandoned after the Pueblo Revolt of 1680 and the ruins were first excavated under the direction of Frederick Webb Hodge between 1917 and 1923.
