First edition of the first Dennis the Menace book. INSCRIBED & SIGNED by the cartoonist ("Best / Hank Ketcham") with an original pen & ink cartoon drawing of Dennis the Menacse on front endpaper. Tall 8vo, unpaginated (64pp). Hardcover, bound in original white pictorial boards. In very good condition. Tight binding and crisp, clean, pages. No markings other than the author's signature and sketch. Front board is very slightly bowed, with slight tanning to edges. A little rubbing to corners and spine ends. Overall, a very presentable early "Dennis the Menace" item. Now protected in a custom-made clear archival wrapper. Seller Inventory # 006282
