An original lithograph by Hans Fischer.35.5 cm x 19.5 cm. Signed and dated 1953. With a presentation inscription. Thumbed and creased. Hans Fischer (1909-1958) was a Swiss painter, who was also well known as an author and illustrator of children's books. Pitschi, Puss in Boots, The Stout Hearted Cat, The Traveling Musicians of Bremmen are a few of his better known books. Fischer's work was exhibited at the Berner Kunsthalle, and most recently a retrospective of his work was held in 2008 at Galerie Pendo in Zurich.
