Octavo, 197pp. A fine copy in the publisher's blue boards, backed in navy cloth. This is number 108 of 300 limited copies SIGNED by Hughes on the limitation page. Hughes's last published book before his death, less than a year after publication. The poems are all about his relationship with Sylvia Plath, and were written in the years immediately following her death. The collection was, and remains, controversial, though the book won the 1999 Whitbread Prize, for which Frieda Hughes (the daughter of Hughes and Plath) accepted the honors in her late father's stead.
