About this Item
*** I WILL ONLY SHIP THIS BOOK PRIORITY MAIL SO THAT I CAN TRACK AND INSURE IT. DO NOT BUY THIS BOOK IF YOU DO NOT INTEND TO PAY THE PRIORITY MAIL RATE BECAUSE YOUR ORDER WILL BE CANCELLED AND I WILL NOT TRADE WITH YOU IN FUTURE. *** This is a UK first edition, first impression hardcover published by Oneworld Publications in 2014 AND SIGNED BY MARLON JAMES AT THE WATERSTONES PICCADILLY EVENT IN LONDON ON 23 NOVEMBER 2015. The jacket is Very Fine ASIDE from a small closed tear to the front of the jacket. I've put a clear plastic jacket protector on the book to protect it (this slips on and off like a glove) and the jacket is unclipped and states £18.99. The book is also Very Fine ASIDE from one small ding to the bottom front corner, which you can ONLY see if you remove the jacket. The spine is straight with sharp corners and there is no loosening to the crown as is common with books this weight. The copyright page confirms the first UK publication in 2014 and does not mention reprints ? which confirms the first edition state for this title. A lovely copy of this Booker Prize winning title. Store Description
All books in my store are my own and in my possession. I expect customers to read my listings fully and look at all photos and be aware of the terms. I will work with everyone to resolve issues but I expect the same courtesy back - if I don't reply to an email within 24 hours it means I haven't received it so you'll need to resend.
I charge shipping that reflects my actual costs. I do NOT offer cheap shipping and add it to the book price so please do not complain to me that Bob down the road offers cheaper postage. Sure he does - but the price of his book is hiked to reclaim it, or you're referring to a power seller who can negotiate postage discounts. I can't - I'm a private individual selling my private collection. ABE only allows me to set one postage rate so I charge the rate for hardbacks sent in a box with bubble wrap and polystyrene peanuts. Where postage is less - eg a paperback or small hardback - I refund the difference once I get my receipts and know the exact cost. Tracking is NOT provided automatically on UK parcels - you have to choose priority mail AND pay an additional £7 postage on top.
