19.5 x 13 cm. 12mo. 166pp. Red cloth, gilt lettering, in photographic dust jacket. Illustrated with 24 photographs from the expedition, including frontispiece of the "1894 Camp at Avalanche Basin". Signed by the author "Very Cordially / 1938 A. L. Sperry" on the half-title page. Bit of discoloration to the jacket. A few small closed tears to top of jacket. Rare work. A work on the exploration of Glaicer national park in the 1890s and early 1900s by the author's grandfather, Lyman Beecher Sperry. "Sperry Glacier", was discovered and named after Lyman Sperry. Sperry Glacier has shrunk from over 3 million square meters in a survey done by Sperry in 1901 to under a million square meters when measured again in 2010.
