Illustrated in B&W by Walter Crane with 'twelve pictures and other devices'; a few pages have been very neatly coloured in. Spine discoloured with small tear to bottom back corner; patchy discolouration to back cover. Page edges untrimmed; title page protected by tissue paper which has scattered foxing; owner's name on front free endpaper. Front and back hinges neatly repaired. A beautiful book.
