From the reviews:
"This is a collection of formulas for applied scientists and industrial engineers working in the most important subfields of applied acoustics. It permits an easy and rapid access to searched results. ... The book is very well written and excellently organized; the size of letters permits an easy reading. ... On balance, this is an excellent reference tool, a real ‘instrument de travail’ in acoustics, whose edition will be welcome by the researchers in the field." (Dumitru Stanomir, Zentralblatt MATH, Vol. 1060, 2005)
"This collection of formulas has been written by applied scientists and industrial engineers for design professionals and students who work in engineering acoustics. ... It provides easy and rapid access to profound and comprehensive information. ... In addition to formulas, useful principles and computational procedures are given." (Applied Mechanics Reviews, Vol. 56 (1), 2003)
From the reviews of the second edition
"In 17 chapters the book cover numerous areas of classical contemporary acoustics ... . Each chapter concludes with ... extensive reference list. ... the book is a ‘must’ for all those working with or in engineering acoustics ... ." (Heinrich A. Metzen, Noise Control Engineering Journal, Vol. 57 (1), 2009)
