About the Author:

Gilles Desmons was born and brought up in Paris and went on to gain a first class Masters degree at the Sorbonne. During his interesting and varied career he has worked for a historical magazine in Paris, in the manuscript department at Sotheby's in London and for an English publishing company. He has now established himself in a windmill near Lyons where he is working as a writer and lecturer.
