The dust jacket has been 'protected' with a clear plastic wrap and brown paper (inside) which has left some marks at the top edge of the DJ and is itself beginning to disintegrate. It would probably be best to remove it for best effect. Book comes in cardboard protective box. Contents pages otherwise in beautiful condition, with black and white drawings (by the author-artist) throughout, and some inset full-colour reproductions of paintings of Wellington harbour, dating from the late 19th and early 20th century. This is a unique compilation of old photos, drawings, paintings and written sources combined to create an in-depth and detailed history of one of the great harbours of the world.
