Synopsis:

This classic work of Arab erotica was written in the early-16th century by the world-wise Sheikh Nefzawi. The text was commissioned by Nefzawi's patron, who asked him to produce a manual that would shed light upon "the source of our greatest pleasure...sex." Pillow books, which take their name from the lacquered wooden "pillows" of Japan in which these conveniently small works of instruction and amusement were mainly kept, have long been a traditional gift for lovers in India, China and Japan.
