iv, 263, 268-446 pages + plate. Page numbers erratic in places and numbers 264-267 are omitted from the sequence, but no text is missing, this is confirmed by the catalogue entry on Library Hub. Browned and spotted throughout, much of the time very heavily. Title page and frontispiece are both heavily spotted. Rebound in modern paper covered boards and cloth spine with modern paper label to the spine. New end papers. Bookplate to the front pastedown of Rosamund Elliott Viney. In note to the rear pastedown giving the date of the rebind in 1977. Small tear/paper fault to the title page affecting the word business. The bulk of the book is taken up with text printed in variety of different type faces and sizes. The texts used for the sample pages are - Areopagatica - Some thoughts concerning education by John Locke - Thoughts on different subjects.
