This is a rare original poster advertising a lecture given by the Naturalist William Houghton, author of the book British Fresh Water Fishes, the poster measures 15 inches by 10 inches approx and was printed in Bridgnorth by Clement Edkins some browning to edges and loss to top left corner else in good general condition the poster came from an archive of original posters printed in the town kept by the then town clerk Hubert Smith, in the archive he had saved one copy of each of the posters that came through his hands during his time in office most of which are possibly the only surviving copies. poster will be posted rolled in a tube, this is a lighter item, overseas shipping costs will be reduced accordingly at checkout where possible.
