The last is a big fishhook in greenstone six and a half inches long - it belonged to Baron de Thierry at one time. The Maori gave it to him for some good turn that he did them. We were out on the West Coast last Sunday to have a look at the old pa (Kare Kare). What do you think! Some fool of a fellow is cutting down two big trees that are growing on it. Trevor Lloyd (1863-1937 )was the well-known artist, cartoonist and illustrator, working for the NZ Herald among other publications.
