A small circular wax or resin red seal embossed onto 19th century? card depicting the murder of the Archbishop of Canterbury, taken from one of the earliest depiction on a stained glass window c1175-1225. This looks like an item we believe produced and perhaps sold by the British Museum or Canterbury Cathedral, measures 11 x 7.5 cm, a little dusty, hand written Latin quote of the Houses of Premonstratensian Canons "Causa Domus XCI mortem sic intulit isti".The seal reads "May Thomas who fell beneath the great strokes of the sword, by the City of Canterbury is protected against attack".
