About this Item
ALS - 3 sides headed notepaper - Renishaw Hall, Derbyshire. One fold, 11 x 17.5 cm. "To, The Editor of the 'Daily Express'. Dear Sir, I enclose the receipt of your cheque and you may keep my signature as it will be valuable in a few years time. My sister, my brother and myself are here for 1 month, so if you wish for any more contributions please write to us at the above address. We are all rather worried about Mr McQuilland's health. We are afraid that he may have put out his tongue too far to be able to withdraw it. Remember me to 'Beachcomber.' Yours, Osbert Sitwell" 'Beachcomber' was the humorous writer J B Morton who wrote for the Daily Express from 1924 to 1975. Mr McQuilland was also a contributor to the paper. Seller Inventory # 017997
