About this Item
This 9.0 x 12.0 inch, 13 page publication shows ?A Supplement to Fortune, July, 1942? on the front page of this soft-cover pamphlet. Apparently this was published and distributed through other channels by Time, Inc. The wrappers are the same paper as the interior and the paper shows a few chips at the bottom, a one-inch tear at the top fold, and a crease that extends from cover through the pages at the bottom right of the =document. The paper shows age-toning but overall the item is still securely held by staples and the contents are clear and intriguing. The item contains numerous black-and-white photographs of workplace conditions and numerous artistic graphs and images to demonstrate proper industrial operation and safety practice. The text of the document show a headline ?Accidents in Wartime give aid to the enemy? with ?102, five hundred lives scrapped by accidents in 1941. No salvage? - - with a graph showing the rising cost of neglect and accidents. The item again is filled with written commentary about where accidents happen, what causes them, and how to better organize for safety - - with the final page given to ?Twice as many are killed off-job as in the plant? - - with graphics to support. 13 pages.
