By Robert Whytt, M.D. F.R.S. (The letter is dated Edinburgh, March 16, 1757. The paper was published in 1758 in London in Volume 50, Part 1, For the Year 1757 of the Philosophical Transactions, pages 205 to 220. The paper, which has been disbound from the Transactions, measures approximately 6 x 8 1/2 inches. The pages are tanned, but the text is clear and easily read.
