Thomas Henry Huxley (1825-1895), the English biologist and anthropologist, scrawled this brief note that reads: "I shall be very glad to have a chat with you after tomorrow's lecture - if that will be convenient." Huxley was a comparative anatomist who was was given the moniker, "Darwin's Bulldog," for his staunch advocacy of Charles Darwin's theory of evolution. Written on a 7 1/4" x 4 1/2" piece of blank stationery. Condition: A few small spots, mailing fold lines, otherwise very good condition. Seller Inventory # A01720
