On offer is an original October 30th, 1825 handwritten manuscript stampless letter from David Dodge of Charlestown, Massachusetts to his sister Sukey Albree in Acworth, New Hampshire, wherein he details health, happiness and travels of intimate family and friends. [Nephew Charles is in Boston, has left his wife, is facing "embarrassing circumstances."] He seeks aid from his friends. David's son leaves tomorrow for Rio de Janiero and then Petersburgh in Russia-- he'll be gone a year." 1 cm hole on edge where the seal was opened. 3 pp. 17 x 20 cm. Good.
