Antique map of the Eastern Balkans. The area depicted (largely) includes the countries of Romania, Bulgaria, Serbia and North Macedonia. Cartographically, the map is based on Gerard Mercator's map. The names of the cartographer and the publisher at the bottom left. Title cartouche top left. Cartouche with scale sticks bottom right. Latin text on the back. Copper engraving with great old color. Several details are heightened with gold. Published in Amsterdam by Joan Blaeu in 1662 in "Atlas Maior, Sive Cosmographia Blaviana (.)." Excellent piece. Dimensions (image): 39 x 51 cm.
