About this Item
This is Rand McNally's classic railroad map in 1913. The complexity of the rail system is evident. This was before nationalization and the Federal decimation of the war time wear and tear on the rolling stock and rail facilities. This map has a manuscript addition of the route of the National Old Trails Trail through and to New Mexico. The map was issued in the year of the founding of the Lincoln Highway Association yet that one is not noted. The National Old Trails Trail was the predecessor of Route 66.This is an interesting example of period use. Very good condition with separation at fold junctions. Folded tightly. See pic.
