Antique map of the county of Flanders. Title in cartouche bottom right; scale stick in cartouche bottom left and top left a cartouche with an inset map of Northwest Flanders and part of Zeeland around 1300 at the time of Count Gwijde van Dampierre. A beautiful border surrounds the map. Latin text and page signature 45 on the back. Hand-coloured copper engraving, published in Antwerp in 1603 by Jan Baptist Vrients in "Teatrum Orbis Terrarum," Abraham Ortelius. Dimensions (image): 38 x 49 cm. Seller Inventory # ABE-1634044655816
