4to (28 cm), 828 pp. Cont. cloth backed marbled boards (cloth cracked on the back joint, but firm, stamp of defunct library on the title, one leaf loose). "Acta Apostolicae Sedis" is the official gazette of the Holy See, appearing twelve times a year. It was established by Pope Pius X in 1908. Complete set for the year 1929 contains among others documents the text of the Lateran Treaty between the Kingdom of Italy and the Holy See. This agreement recognized Vatican City as an independent state under the sovereignty of the Holy See (included a plan of the territory of the Vatican and plans of the buildings with extraterritorial privilege).
