About this Item
"For Whom the Bell Tolls" by ERNEST HEMINGWAY. 1940 1st edition, early printing (published the same year as the 1st printing, though lacking the "A" first printing designation on the copyright page); Charles Scribner's Sons; New York. Condition: There is a tiny, dark stain spot at the bottom of the front cover; light soiling to the spine. Tiny cloth tear at the bottom-right corner tip of the front cover. Tight binding with no cracks and no loose pages. Both covers are firmly attached. Nice interior - the text pages are clean with no notable issues found. Tanning to the end papers and paste down (as is common). The front end paper has a faded name written in old handwriting, and a date lightly stamped in ink (Jun 28 1941).
