Half-title present. 39 B/W and colour illustrations throughout book, all on plates, including a B/W folding map photograph of the summit near index; also one B/W map spanning two pages labeling the Eiger section of the Bernese Alps. Index at rear. Chipping to edges of dust-jacket; three square chips to facade, about 1-1.5 centimeters square. Another vertical chip to spine, about 3cm long and.5cm wide, as well as chipping to horizontal edges. Minor blemishing to front cover of jacket. Cloth is bright and shows only minor bumping to bottom of front cover, otherwise unscathed. Plates remain vibrant and intact. Internal text is very clean.
