hardback, folio, decorative brown cloth lettered black and gilt, all edges gilt, usual minor scuffing and rubbing to extremities, a later matching spine skilfully laid in & thus, unusually so for this work a tightly bound copy, twenty coloured chromolithographic plates by Elijah Walton mounted with interleaving paper guards, a descriptive text by T G Bonney, faded gift inscription to original owner on front free endpaper, stain to bottom margin of the fist plate, some marginal foxing to some plates, two repairs to paper guards, The plate of The Swallow Falls lacks paper guard and has creasing and a stain to leading top corner of margin (not affecting plate). The plates all remain bright and the colours fast. A pleasing copy. Seller Inventory # 195158
