Light wear at edges, front hinge cracked, a touch of rubbing to spine tips, else very good copy of increasingly difficult early title. In a homemade acetate dust wrapper. A scarce edition of this collection of 8 detective short stories . Frontis illustration with tissue guard and 11 other b&w illustrations by F.C. Yohn. The stories revolve around the apparently supernatural happenings that occur on the housing estate of Witching Hill, and the combined efforts of the estate's clerk, Gillon, and a resident, Delavoye, to manage them. 274pp + ads.
