The Scarce 1st U.S. Edition of this famous Canadian classic. Stated First Edition on the copyright page. Hardcover. Brown cloth boards with titles on the front board and spine. Solid binding, nice internal condition, previous owner name on the front end paper dated 1947. The front board is waterstained on the bottom edge and shows to the first four of five pages in a small half moon stain. Overall a Very Good or better copy. Preceded the Canadian edition by 10 days.
