"Viimne päev" novels collection focused on themes of social life - oppressed and dominating social classes. Author feels painfully these contradictions, there capital is the ruler, and working class dies of exhausting labour and poverty. Misery, woe, trouble destroy people bodies and souls, but God will justify it. Author's sympathies are with sufferers, but he did not propose the ways to overcome the difficulties, only brings the attention to the life injustice. Metsanurk narrative is not entirely realistic, but largely expressive. In particular, situation is presented too much in dark colors.
