Quarto. 9 leaves. Original red buckram with gilt lettering and ruling on cover, housed in matching slipcase with gilt lettering on cover. Photo album of the VEB Transformer and X-Ray Factory in Dresden featuring photographs and photo-collages of the urban environment, the factory and its products as well as leisure time facilities and activities for the staff with captions. Featuring one full page photograph of the old Baroque city and photo-collages of the inner city the factory buildings, factory products like transformers, testing facility, measuring transformers, industrial, research and medical devices, and freight facilities. The last three pages show the leisure time facilities and staff engaged in sports and cultural activities. The photographs and collages are printed to high quality, heavy stock photo-paper glued to the plates. The factory, built by the architects Paul Michael and Paul Voges from 1951 to 1953, was added to the list of industrial landmarks of the GDR. Text in German. Slipcase with light wear along edges.
