First UK edition. Publisher's red boards with silver lettering to the spine. The usual offsetting to both sets of end-papers (more so the rear) otherwise a lovely, bright and clean near fine copy in like price-clipped dustwrapper with just a hint of fading to the red spine lettering. A lovely copy. "The writing was engaging, vocabulary was top notch without being too pedantic, plot was beautifully contrived, and the setting in coastal Suffolk was particularly atmospheric" (GoodReads).
