About this Item
French play about World War One from 1924. The title refers to the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier. Paul Raynal served throughout the war. The English version was by Cecil Lewis, author of Sagittarius Rising, memories of his experiences as a pilot during WW1. This is the first edition, first printing - it was printed 10 times in the first year of publication. The book has light signs of wear. Sunning to spine ends and top strip of the front board. Foxing to upper boards and the fore-edge. White library marking to lower spine. Inside, library bookplate with withdrawn stamp on inside cover. No other internal library markings. Foxing to inside covers. Occasional foxing in the text. Dj spine sunned with faint library mark and vestiges of removal of label. In a clear, protective wrapper. Seller Inventory # 003572
