First Printing of the First UK edition. Original red cloth covers, reading crease along the backstrip, corners with minor bumping, top edge lightly dust-marked. A VG tight, square copy, nonetheless, entirely free from previous owner names, library labels etc and without spotting or similar. The dustjacket is not price-clipped but there is some minor loss at the corners and spine tips. Creasing along the top edges but a Good jacket overall. The author's first novel and now quite scarce.
