First edition, first state published february 1939 with yellow errata slip bound inat title-page. Heavy paper wrappers with fold-over flaps. Front panel red with zodiacal sign and sun in white. Front flap with title, author blurb and price [60 francs]. One of the few copies sold before the beginning of the war, the death of Kahane and the shuting down of the Obelisk Press. The original price on the spine and both flaps NOT inked out. The bulk of the first edition with the prices inked out were sold when Maurice Girodias, Kahane's son, reopened for business after the war. Wraps with edgewear and soiling, pages are clean, unmarked. 5½" - 7½. Seller Inventory # 277365
