Book is tight, square, and unmarked but for a F/O bookplate on the FFFP and a Kendrick/Bellamy of Denver bookseller sticker on the rear pastedown for $2.50. Book Condition: Near Fine; slight shelfwear to head, tail, and tips. DJ: Near Fine; NOT Price Clipped ($2.50); slight shelfwear to head and tail; small scuff on the author's portrait on rear panel. Green cloth boards and spine with bright copper lettering on the spine. Tinted textblock top. Clean internals; interior hinges are sound and not split. 238 pp 12mo. This is the author's first book. Glenn Crawford has hired on at the Bar-O Ranch where the owner has been killed and Glenn is recovering from a horse riding accident that has left him afraid of horses, especially the one in his accident, the black stallion Africano. A young woman, Merida comes on the scene winning his heart and telling him Santa Ana's treasure which is part of the map the ranch owner gave him. She takes him toward the treasure with outlaws in every shadow of the way, knowing one of them killed the ranch boss. A novel of suspense, romance, and violence.
