This hardcover book, published in 1875, is a First Edition. It is in Near Fine condition. This book was well cared for and stored properly. There are two minor problems: Used book store notes in light pencil on the first page and a 1/2" cut along the seam of the front end paper at the top. Please see the pictures for more detail. Contact me for more pictures. There is no dust jacket. The book is covered in dark green or black leather (it usually looks like the dark green, but in some lights it looks pure black. The exterior is clean with no wear. The spine is ribbed with gilt decoration. Inside, the page ends are all gilt, the end papers are marbled, and the text pages are clean as a whistle. The spine is straight, tight, and strong. The book comes from a smoke free home. I will ship the book with Media Mail through the US Post Office within 2 business days, usually sooner.
