First edition of this unique book of animal stories, with a double-page pop-up of jungle animals. Released by children's and miscellany publisher Raphael Tuck, Told By the Animals is part of a series of "Come to Life" Panorama books. The book features a number of children's stories about domestic and wild animals, illustrated with black-and-white line drawings as well as a large color pop-up of a group of jungle animals. Pencil gift notation. Pop-up unusually lovely, archivally reattached to page and with only slight chip to edge of parrot, only a few minor smudges to rag-paper interior and slight loosening between signatures, a bit of wear to pictorial boards and cloth spine.
