Oblong Large Octavo. 36pp. incl. wraps. Original three color stapled white wraps with stylized black and red lettering on cover. Impressive three color production introducing 34 major films by the Tobis film studio in 1940/41 featuring the mega-stars of the business. Each page is designed impressively in artistic and/or photographic fashion. The films presented here are Ohm Krüger, staring Emil Jannings, Bismarck, staring Lil Dagover, Titanic, staring Karl Ludwig Diehl, Kopf hoch Johannes ,directed by Victor de Kowa, Tiefland, starring and directed by Leni Riefenstahl, Der Meineidbauer, directed by Franz Seitz, Der groà e Kà nig, directed by Veit Harlan, Friedrich Schiller, staring Heinrich George and Lil Dagover, the Veit Harlan film Agnes Bernauer, staring Kristina Sà derbaum, among others. Some of the movies were not yet cast at the time of publication. Extraordinary publication with outstanding graphics in poster style. Back cover with listing of documentaries by Tobis. Text in German. Light wear along edges of covers, small bump and creasing at upper right corner; covers lightly rubbed. Tobis Filmkunst stamp in upper right corner of cover and some foxing along upper right half and foredge of front cover. Few small silver sprinkles on black lettering of cover. Back cover with small closed tear in upper middle, and minor stains in lower right corner. Light bump of upper right corner of block. Wraps in overall good-, interior in very good condition.
