1st Edition 1953. From the library of Robert Gillmor with his name to the endpaper. Gillmor was great friends with Peter Scott. Account of the Severn Wildfowl Trust expedition to Hosjokull in Iceland in 1951 by four scientists to study the pink-footed goose & led by Peter Scott. Robert Gillmor 1936-2022 was a British ornithologist, artist, illustrator, author, and editor. He was a co-founder of the Society of Wildlife Artists and was its secretary, chairman and president. He contributed to over 100 books, and received numerous awards. Book is very good+ and bright. Contents good. The wrapper is very good and quite bright. Edges rubbed and nicked. All overseas orders with priority shipping (8 days+) will be sent by either tracked airsure or international signed for. The slower postal rates (14 days +) will be sent by standard airmail and will take longer to arrive. We recommend to all our customers to use the priority shipping as this is a much quicker and secure method of shipment.
All books where possible will be sent in wrap around cardboard boxes and bubble wrapped.
