Splits to cloth at head of spine, wear at foot and to corners. Covers marked. Slight lean. Inside, bookplate of Philip Lyttelton Gell to pastedown. Text block clean and firm with very occasional light pencil underlining in text. Vol 2 in Good conditon. Edges rubbed particularly to spine. Rubbing to spine ends and corners. marking to covers. Inside, bookplate to pastedown and name written on half-title. Text clean and firm. A good working set. Please enquire for postage. Scans available. Philip Lyttelton Gell was in volved in the exploration and exploitation of mineral wealth in Western Australia and South Africa. His mother was the daughter of the explorer Sir William Franklin.
